Sorin Rosca Stanescu, director of the central newspaper Ziua, confessed he was a collaborator of the former communist militia aka Securitate during a popular TV show “100%” by Robert Turcescu on Realitatea Tv. Stanescu came out after being blackmailed for years by a former head of the Romanian Intelligence Service (SRI).

He made a plea that all journalists that had collaborated with the former Securitate to denounce themselves.

The journalist admitted he was sorry and that he had realised the implications of his deeds later on. His file was revealed by the former SRI head Virgil Magureanu, who denied all this when called by the TV show anchor man.
